Vahneesa with Dalton (The Black Dog)

Vahneesa Norberg is the photographer and Dalton is The Black Dog to whom she belongs.

Vahneesa grew up in suburbia where she inherited not only a love of nature and animals from her father but also a love of art and creativity from her mother.  Through out her life there have always been pets, and more specifically dogs.

She started out in photography in the early 1980s and still loves using her film cameras along side of her newer digital cameras.  In 2003 she opened this small freelance photography studio in rural Minnesota.  During this time her award winning work has been published in books, magazines, calendars, and across the World Wide Web.  She has self-published a book and her work is displayed Internationally in private homes and in businesses.

Now-a-days she brings her experience in portrait photography and nature photography together to focus her talents on one of her favorite subjects, DOGS.  Vahneesa believes each dog is an individual and completely different from the next.  Because of this belief she believes each portrait session should be as unique as each dog.  She does not do typical studio setting shots but instead prefers to come to your home in order to get into their natural environment, where your dog(s) is at his/her best and most relaxed.  She likes to let your dog(s) play and show her their true personality.

This studio is named in honor of her dog, Dalton, who has been the subject of many of her photographs. He was considered the CEO (Canine Executive Officer) of this business for 9 years until his passing in May of 2012.  Vahneesa hopes that his memory will forever be honored in the current and future of her photographic work.

Forever in our hearts.
